I recently got a home of 40 years of age. The house is unique and we love it. We decorate the back courtyard. The previous owner had stains on the walls and the red carpet. You look a little old. If you replace the green with dark spots on the walls, I went with a cream-colored khaki light or dark. Another alternative is to put slate tiles down (or tiles).
